What is real time operating system? | Define real time operating system.

Ans. A Real time operating system is an operating system intended to serve real time application requests. These systems are designed to operate in a time constrained environment. A real time system must also operate reliably according to specific time constraints. Examples of Real time operating systems are: RTLinux, Qnx, OS-9 etc.
