General Instructions of WB TET
West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (WBTET) 2013 is going to organise by Education Board of West Bengal for the recruitment of Teachers in Primary and Secondary Schools. WB TET 2013 will be organized in the month of December, 2011.
WBTET will be organise for the recruitment of 15,000 on the vacant posts in West Bengal. On October 2013 West Bengal Government instructed Education Board of West Bengal to organise the WBTET in the month of December. Candidates who will qualify the TET will be eligible to sit in School Service Commission and then the recruitment in the Primary and Secondary Schools of state, working under State Government/Basic Education Board/Secondary Education Board/National Education Board.
National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has initiated new regulation for those aspiring to become teachers in schools under Government, private, unaided and aided categories. Now the candidates have to qualify in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to be conducted at state level by state boards. TET will be a compulsory and essential requirement for securing a teaching job in all types of schools. State Governments / Union Territories have to draw guidelines to this effect as per the norms laid down by NCTE. Candidates have to score minimum 60 percent in the test to qualify for teacher jobs. There is no limit on attempts. You can write any number of times. TET has been introduced as per the provisions of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009.
From now onwards candidates have to qualify West Bengal Teachers Eligibility Test to sit in West Bengal School Service Commission Examination or WBSSC
