What is the different between an analog and a digital computer?
Ans.
- Analog computer uses changeable continuous physical phenomena such as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic quantities so as to solve a problem. But Digital computers represent changing quantities incrementally as and when their values change.
- Analog computers do not have the ability of digital computers to store data in large quantities.
- Analog computers process measured data. Whereas a digital computer processed descrete data (digits).
